Why “New” Esperantist?

1. I am new to Esperanto, having learned the language in the first months of 2013.
2. I’d like to take a new approach to the language and the social movement behind it. The strategies and ways of thinking have not changed much from Zamenhof’s day (the originator of Esperanto). There is much to admire in the  traditional approach, but the current movement feels as if it is stuck in a rut.
3. Two of the magazines I most liked have a similar title:  New Scientist and New Internationalist.
